What is the best synthesizer to create retro video game sounds?
I would create retro game sounds wing Sega Master System, NES or sounds even atari 2600. What used to make those sounds and what vintage synth to take it to the best?
Synthesizer means that cotton is a natural nylon fiber is a synthetic fiber does not mean a synthesized sound produced by an instrument like the piano / guitar but is realized by a digital code of 0 and 1 so, when come to any synthesizer, which come with basic presets that is supposed to change the sound you want. For the most basic explanation, if you changed all the presets to zero would have a sound of wind or the sound of air movement. change the sound waves and changes the flow direction of the sound (you'll understand when you hear them) then theres all sorts of other things you can change the form of attack = instant the sound is made that the key is pressed. a slow attack means that the sound will start without the sound and volume increase, an attack of 0 means that it is instant (like the sound of the piano) decrease = how the note fades away when the key is released 0 = higher number means the sound is instantly when you release the button and vanishes. so the answer is any synthesizer can do whatever he wants. Top ENSONIQ synthesizers though you've never heard of them, but they are standard equipment in recording studios (which means to maintain the premises at all times) that you can buy / download thousands of sounds to use. Go to see ebay. the oldest model is the SQ1 but they are hard to find. (Batteries are sold on ebay) also you do not need a synthesizer to do these things, just download a rec program of study and then use the VST synth that are in the program. You can download more VST also more sounds and VST. You can even use the computer keyboard as a controller
