Anyone know how to clean the inside of the old Nintendo 64?
My old Nintendo 64 games this green bark on the metal inside so it does not work in the system.
the contacts have got green? that is not solid, like garbage, but still keeps the set of contacts to communicate with pin connector on the N64 to get a Q-tip, dip it in rubbing alcohol and clean the metal contacts. the alcohol evaporates rapidly, which is a nice bonus. should be good enough if you really want to get in, you can get a bit of security set on ebay that can open the N64, as well as snes, nes, and sega games. allowing you to open the outer plastic casing and clean the chip better.
