What are some good Wii games for us old timers?
I grew up playing Donkey Kong, Asteroids, Pac Man etc. I have already purchased some of the classics. I am interested in a NEW game with an old style feel. Most of today's 3D multi-button games overwhelm me and take more time to learn then I have.
Super paper mario is a great game, reminds me of the older 2D mario's but it has a twist; you can flip into 3D. Its one of the best games on wii. Check it out on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6EWHYiiYk8

Why do 75% of newer videogames suck?
Remember the classics, Super Metroid, Sonic, Mario, Donkey Kong?? What do we have now? Not much, and we have excellent graphics and gameplay, but developers are wasting their time apparently. Some games are good, like God of War, Hitman......that's about the only ones that had a long running series. Final Fantasy is turning terrible now and it used to be the best. Are all the good, memorable, games gone forever?
They talk about Judgement Day, how about 40 years from now when people have nothing left to create! No more ideas for anything.

There's a really, really big problem right now.
Games are in high demand, and the big gaming companies press their employees to create more and more games. Now, humans aren't machines, and when you're programming a game, too many people can disrupt the programming. After all, if you split the programming, you have to put it back together, test it, split it and debug, and repeat. It takes time.
You know how we always hear about deadlines for games and how programmers work for 24/7 to reach it? That doesn't help the quality of games. No sleep doesn't actually give you good ideas.
Remember Fable for Xbox? EGM hyped it up so much that you'd think Fable would be like Halo. But, Fable sucked. Why? They had no time and everything was cut out.
Personally, I don't think there's so many games that you won't have any more ideas. Plus, no sleep doesn't help. I think if companies just eased off the developers back's a bit, games would be better. Just think of the ideal Fable....ah well...
