How To Get In Great Shape For Sports?
I'm a 14 yr old baseball and football player. I need to get in GREAT shape for these two sports. I want to have a strong body all together, but really want to focus on my legs so I can run faster, jump higher, go longer, etc.
What is a great workout I can do daily to get in the best shape I can be in?
Well if you want to run faster you really don't want to have bulky muscles so the best thing to do is do a lot of distance running and agility training. Bulky muscle will slow you down a little if you want to be a very fast runner. But if you want to be powerful, lifting aways works, doing squats leg presses, curls, and lunges... If your school has a weight room you could probably go there but if not you can get a membership at a gym. This winter at my school i had condition for baseball and we did a lot of lifting and a lot of running. make sure when doing lifting to mix it up a little and don't do the same thing every time to always challenge your muscles. For a great workout do about an hour of vigorous lifting, then to finish your workout do about 20 minutes of vigorous running, sprints, distance, or footwork. Make sure you always push yourself to achieve the best results.
