What is something I can use to get sharpie writing off of an old Nintendo game cartridge?

I just bought an old NES game cartridge and it had someone's last name on it written on it and I was wondering if there was something I could use to get it off of there. I have already tried rubbing alcohol.

How do I delete game files off of a Nintendo DS game cartridge?

I bought Trauma Center: Under the Knife used and it has games on it and I wanna clear those. How do I clear them?

All you need to do is to start a new game on top of the old file that you wise to delete. However, if you want it to say 'No date' then I don't think there is anyway to do so.
